If during of pregnancy the expectant mother is very sick, this indicates that the process of carrying a baby is normal.
Researchers at the University of Reading recently reported evidence of such a pattern. The thing is that nausea during pregnancy provokes a hormone endokinin, very important for the normal development of the fetus and the course of pregnancy. It provides normal blood flow through the placenta, which allows the fetus to receive all the necessary nutrients and oxygen.
Recently, scientists published a review, which refers to a study conducted last year. 800 future mothers took part in it. According to the results of this study, scientists found that if women who survived in their time miscarriage, tormented by nausea and vomiting during subsequent pregnancies, this increased the likelihood of having a baby successfully.
Doctors say that expectant mothers should not take drugs that block endokinin, even if they have to experience unpleasant morning sickness and other symptoms that complicate the condition. To feel better, you need to consume more fluids and have a good rest. The consumption of foods rich in carbohydrates will also help, but you need to eat in small portions.
Earlier, a study on the dependence of such manifestations and a successful pregnancy outcome was already studied by employees of the University of North Carolina (United States). Reporting on the results, they noted that those who did not experience nausea and vomiting experienced a loss of the child 3.2 times more often when compared with those suffering toxicosis ladies. Moreover, this relationship was most pronounced in older pregnant women. So, in pregnant women under 25 years old without unpleasant symptoms, the risk of losing a child was 4 times higher, and in women over 35 years old - 12 times higher. And the longer the toxicosis lasted, the less the risk of losing the baby.
According to statistics, 50 to 90% of women experience symptoms of early toxicosis.
