General rules

One of the popular diets, especially in the summer, during the ripening season of the vegetable, is the "Cucumber" or "Cucumber" diet. Why?

An unloading day on cucumbers allows you to get rid of 500-600 g of excess weight in one day. You just need to eat 1-1.5 kg of unpeeled cucumbers and drink at least 1 liter of water. If you want to diversify your food throughout the fasting day, you can drink cucumber smoothie with parsley or celery: just chop all the ingredients in a blender.

Is it possible to eat pickles on a diet?

The consumption of salted and pickled cucumbers with a diet is a moot point. On the one hand, they are non-nutritious: in lightly salted cucumbers - 13 kcal per 100 g, in salted - 11 kcal per 100 g. On the other hand, pickled cucumbers undergo heat treatment, in which almost all of their valuable properties are lost, the number of vitamins contained in them. In addition, pickles contain vinegar, salt, sugar, which do not positively affect the result of such a short-term diet.

Therefore, experts advise all the same not to get carried away with pickles, but to pay more attention to fresh vegetables. But, nevertheless, sometimes treating yourself is not prohibited.

Since cucumber diet refers to mono-diets, the list of allowed products is limited, and each product in the diet menu has its own function:

  • Fresh vegetables are rich in fiber and help our body in its natural cleansing and healing.
  • Snacks for citrus fruits also help fight subcutaneous fat.
  • The meat (beef, chicken, turkey) is intended for lunch meals, and it is precisely due to its daily content in the menu that the diet is not hungry and varied.
  • The bread offered for breakfast should be selected whole grain or bran: such breads contain a lot of vitamins, minerals and fiber.
  • If a sandwich with cheese or plates of low-fat cottage cheese is not enough for a morning meal, you can add 1 boiled chicken egg.

Banned with such a seven-day diet are heavy, high-calorie foods. To a greater extent, the diet is aimed at cleansing the body, therefore, white bread and white rice are excluded from the menu, simple carbohydrates, which, by the way, in addition to not saturating for a long time, retain water in the tissues (4 g of liquid per gram of carbohydrates) , as well as alcohol and salt.
