Diet for stagnation of bile in the gallbladder

General rules

Bile is continuously secreted by the liver, between meals it accumulates in the gall bladder, and after eating it enters the duodenum.

Disorders of the biliary system (dyskinesia) associated with inconsistent, excessive or insufficient contraction of the gallbladder, ducts and sphincters of ducts. Stagnation of bile in the gallbladder is caused by hypotonic dyskinesia, in which there is insufficient contraction, and a small amount of bile enters the digestive tract, which disrupts the digestive tract (intestinal motility is inhibited, absorption is impaired vitamins, calcium, gland, which in turn entails the development of various diseases.

This condition is functional and can be caused by constant consumption of fatty and spicy foods, breaks between its receptions, nervous experiences, hormonal disorders (menopause) and diseases of the digestive tract. However, functional disorders can contribute to the appearance of organic pathology of the liver, pancreas, biliary system, or duodenum. Stagnation of bile can cause an inflammatory process in the gallbladder - dyskinesia in most cases precedes cholecystitissince long-term violations of the emptying of the bladder lead to excessive growth of pathogenic flora in the intestine, which leads to infection of the gallbladder.

Stagnant bile can be a prerequisite for the formation of stones with an increased content in it cholesterol. In the bladder, a process of thickening of bile occurs, and it becomes more saturated with cholesterol. We can say that hypotonic dysfunction contributes to the loss of cholesterol crystals. At the initial stages, ultrasound reveals thick bile (biliary sludge), which indicates a violation of its physico-chemical properties. During this period, it is important to normalize bile secretion, if the changes are not eliminated, the formation of microliths begins.

Olive oil

One of the methods of treatment is the purification of the bile ducts and gall bladder in a medical facility by duodenal washing with warm mineral water or the introduction of a 20% sorbitol solution. This procedure reduces spasm of sphincters and increases the outflow of bile. You can carry out the so-called "blind sounding" at home once a week. For its use, olive oil (drink 30 ml on an empty stomach) or xylitol (20 g of powder per 50 ml of water). After eating their patient should go to bed with a heating pad, applied to the liver. It is forbidden to conduct tyubage if there are stones in the bladder or ducts, as the procedure can set in motion stones that will cause blockages in the ducts.

With a poor outflow of bile, the patient is bothered by constant aching pains in the right hypochondrium, which can intensify or weaken. Also noted nausea and vomiting, constipation, bitterness in the mouthweakness and fatigue.

To eliminate stagnation are assigned choleretics (Holosas, Holagol, Allochol, Cholenzyme, Liobil, Deholin, Beiliton, Holamine, Supracol), which stimulate the bile formation function of the liver and cholekinetics, increasing the tone of the bladder (Sorbitol, Mannitol, Xylitol, Berberine sulfate (barberry leaf extract), Flaming (Helichrysum extract) Holosas (rosehip extract). Treatment necessarily involves a balanced diet.

A special diet has been developed for stagnation of bile in the gallbladder - this is an option Backgrounds No. 5 Diet number 5L / W (lipotropic fat). It is aimed at stimulating bile secretion, improving the circulation of bile and intestinal motor function. It also has a lipotropic effect (prevents fatty degeneration of the liver) and helps to eliminate cholesterol out of the body. It is prescribed not only for hypomotor dyskinesia, but also after cholecystectomy in the presence of choleretic syndrome.

This is a complete diet with a physiological content of proteins and carbohydrates (restrict simple carbohydrates), but with a high content of fats (due to vegetable, containing polyunsaturated fatty acids) and enriched with lipotropic substances.

Basic principles of nutrition:

  • Vegetable oils in the diet make up 50% of the total amount of fat, if more accurately calculated, their amount should be 1.0-1.2 g per kg of patient weight.
  • Contains lipotropic foods (cottage cheese, egg whites, fish, lean meat).
  • A large number of vegetables, fruits and wheat bran were introduced.
  • Food is cooked on water (steamed) and baked, frying is excluded.
  • Grinding food is optional.
  • Fractional nutrition (up to 5-6 times).
  • Salt is limited to 8 g.
  • Liquids up to 1.5-2 liters.
  • Easily digestible carbohydrates (sweets, sugar, honey, jams, preserves) that cause bile congestion are limited.
  • Extractive substances and cholesterol, spices, whole milk, animal fats are limited.

As already indicated, in this condition, frequent and fractional meals are necessary (this improves the outflow of bile), and also include choleretic food products in the diet so that bile enters the intestine in a timely manner. After all, the main function of bile is digestive. The main components of bile are involved in the digestion of fats, making them available for the further action of pancreatic lipase. The excretory function is also important (removal of bile pigments, excess cholesterol, bacterial toxins, salts of heavy metals and metabolites of drugs from the body).

List of products that have choleretic action:

  • Vegetable oils. They are rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, phospholipids, vitamin E.
  • Unsaturated fatty acids (arachidonic, linoleic) are part of the cell membranes, contribute to the normalization of cholesterol metabolism, participate in the synthesis of prostaglandins, which thin the bile, increase the contractility of the gall bladder.
  • It is important to consume vegetable oils without heat treatment for dressing salads. The use of vegetables with vegetable oil gives a double effect, moreover, it is safe to use in comparison with the use of oil with spoons (contraindicated for cholelithiasis).
  • Vegetables, fruits, berries almost all stimulate bile secretion, in addition, eliminate constipation. This point is important because daily bowel movements have a tonic effect on the biliary tract. The most pronounced effects are oranges, avocados, tangerines, melons, watermelons, prunes, pears, lemons, and vegetables - dill, rhubarb, spinach.
  • Juices - cabbage, beetroot, lingonberry.
  • Wheat bran (30 g per day). They are steamed with boiling water and swollen are added to all dishes 2 tablespoons three times a day. Bran improves the passage of bile and reduces the likelihood of stone formation, as they reduce the cholesterol content in bile.
  • Yolks of eggs.
  • Turmeric.

This list of choleretic food products can also be supplemented with herbs that enhance contractions and eliminate bile congestion: calamus, barberry, lingonberry, immortelle, oregano, coriander, dandelion, knotweed, mountain ash, cumin, thyme, chicory, rosehip, chicory.

Healing herbs

It must be remembered that choleretic products must be included in the diet carefully, taking into account their tolerance. This is especially true of cholelithiasis. If their use causes pain, increases the bitterness in the mouth (which can be noted in the presence of cholecystitis), then this product is excluded from the diet.

Sometimes, with insufficient emptying of the bladder, a magnesium diet, which is based on Backgrounds No. 5enriched with products containing magnesium: whole grain bread and bran bread, wheat bran products, buckwheat and millet groats, bran broth, vegetables and fruits, dried fruits.

Usually hypotonic biliary dyskinesia is accompanied by constipationIn this regard, it can be effective Diet number 3 with an increase in the number of choleretic products. This is a complete diet that you can constantly adhere to and includes products that enhance motility and bowel movements (vegetables, fruits, baked goods with bran, cereals, sour-milk drinks, bran.). As you can see, the diets are very similar in composition.

Also excluded are products that enhance fermentation and decay (fried foods, legumes, carbohydrates, fatty foods). On an empty stomach it is recommended to drink water with honey, juices, and at night: kefir, dried fruit infusions (prunes, dried apricots) and then eat steamed fruits, fresh fruits.

Feedback and Results

Clinical nutrition is mandatory for this disease, and patient reviews confirm this. After 2 weeks, the condition improves: the heaviness in the right hypochondrium, belching, bloating and constipation disappear. The important thing is that the diet is easy to carry and do for a long time. The inconvenience can only be the need for individual preparation.

  • "... A month ago, there was a heaviness under the rib, bitterness and sometimes worried nausea. Examination revealed an enlarged gall bladder with thick bile. True, there is no cholecystitis yet. The treatment and diet have been prescribed, which I have been doing for 3 months. She feels well, but decided to eat so constantly, or at least close to diet. I associate my condition with nervous strain at work and irregular nutrition - it happens that I can’t eat all day at work, and I load up late in the evening. The doctor warned that this absolutely can not be done. I think that our ignorance and inability to organize affect. After all, it costs nothing to drink yogurt or eat an apple. Now I decided not to start health and eat right";
  • "... After removal of the bile six months later, intrahepatic stasis appeared and I was recommended this particular diet. I can say that the nutrition is complete and not difficult to carry out. The exceptions are fatty, fried, spicy and smoked. I ate a lot of vegetables - first boiled or baked, and then I began to add fresh salads. There was no upset or discomfort. After the second week of the diet, she noticed an improvement - the heaviness under the rib and bloating disappeared. Now she is feeling well and has decided to eat this way all the time. I think that there is a point in medical nutrition";
  • "... I suffer from cholecystitis and hypotonic dyskinesia. I have known about the diet for a long time, but I have never attached any importance to it. But after the last exacerbation, when I was in the hospital, I decided to change my diet and attach my relatives to this - I began to cook everything in a double boiler. Surprisingly, they supported me and a week later they noticed lightness in my stomach, lack of bloating (in my husband), vigor and activity. This is because nutrition is healthy and wholesome.".

Diet price

Affordability and inexpensive products make the diet easy to implement. The weekly cost of the diet is 1300 - 1400 rubles.
